President Bush will be the first head of state to represent their nation at the Olympics. Since giving up his daily jogging due to a bad knee some years ago, Bush has turned into something of a mountain biker. He has such a natural talent that the US Olympic team have selected him, despite his age and position.
In a paparazzi scoop, Bush was spotted training with the Chinese team recently. Sources have said that it was far safer for him to train in the unknown forests of China rather than the US where only Camp David and his ranch in Crawford had suitable yet secure terrain.
Given the international focus on China’s human rights records at this time, Bush has been attacked for his decision, given his position as President.
The president of the Save Darfur Coalition expressed “deep disappointment” with President Bush’s decision to attend the Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies.
“We are deeply disappointed that President Bush announced today that he’s attending the Olympic opening ceremonies,” said Jerry Fowler in a lengthy statement issued today.
